Tommy Oney
GUITAR
Tommy started playing guitar at the age of 13. He grew up in a family where musical talent was abundant and he was inspired to pick up the instrument mostly by his late father and his cousin, Chuck Hale.
Like most people who are now pushing 40 and from Paintsville Kentucky, Tommy grew up listening to 90s country but really became interested in music when he found his dad’s vinyl collection of classic rock. Tommy is heavily influenced by way too many guitarists to list, all of which helped to shape the blues and rock n’ roll landscape of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.
He has played in multiple bands throughout the years ranging from hard rock to metal acts, and he also currently lends his talents to Sean Whiting and The Big Badness when he can, usually seen playing his J-45.
When he’s not playing music, Tommy also enjoys being outdoors on a lake or river somewhere.
